This encounter allows you to do more than just observe – you can actually pat and interact with our adorable koalas. Our experienced keepers are on hand to provide valuable insights and answer any questions you may have about these charming marsupials.

MEERKAT EnCOUNTER

Cute, Mischievous, and Friendly!

Get ready for an unforgettable encounter with our charming and sociable meerkats at Snakes Downunder Reptile Park & Zoo. Meerkats are known for their cuteness, mischievous personalities, and friendly demeanor, and during this special encounter, you'll have the opportunity to interact with these adorable creatures.

 

Experience Details:

  • Meerkat interaction: Immerse yourself in the delightful world of meerkats. These small, inquisitive mammals are known for their captivating behavior and social nature. You'll be able to get up close and personal with our meerkats, observing their antics and even interacting with them under the watchful eye of our experienced keepers.

  • Session Timings: Meerkat encounters are available at three convenient times during the day: 9:30am (3pp) 11:15am (2pp), and 2:00pm (3pp) - Please call (07) 4126 3332 to book.

  • Pricing: The cost for this unique experience is $50 per person.

  • Footwear Requirement: For the safety and comfort of both our guests and the meerkats, closed-toe shoes are essential during the encounter.

  • Ages 4+ - Conditions apply.

Reptile handling is absolutely FREE after our thrilling reptile shows, held at 10:30am and 1:00pm.

  • Reptile shows: Join us for our captivating reptile shows at 10:30am and 1:00pm. These shows feature a range of cold-blooded stars, from snakes to lizards, showcasing their unique behaviors, characteristics, and importance in the natural world.

  • Hands-on experience: Following each show, you have the opportunity to get hands-on with our reptiles. Our experienced keepers will be on hand to guide you in safe and informative interactions with these amazing creatures. Touch, hold, and learn about their biology, behavior, and role in our ecosystem.

 

Complimentary Reptile Handling:

We believe that learning through hands-on experiences is the best way to foster a deep appreciation for reptiles. That's why we offer FREE reptile handling after each of our reptile shows.
